Welcome to JR Vitality - exercise classes for older or less mobile people

People are living longer but many do not enjoy good health in later years. Research shows how important it is to keep active as we age to help prevent heart disease, diabetes type 2, osteoporosis, stroke and some cancers.

Many older people want to improve their fitness, strength and mobility but don’t know where to start or which exercises are safe for them to do.

One of the best ways to start is by coming along to one of my Vitality Classes which include a combination of seated and standing exercises to music which improve strength, balance, mobility and wellbeing. Classes are fun and easy to follow – everyone works at their own pace whatever their age or ability.

I have taught thousands of people how they can improve their lives through exercise to help them get active, keep on moving and maintain their independence in later years.

I currently take classes in the Sutton Coldfield area of the West Midlands in Mere Green, Falcon Lodge, Banners Gate and Boldmere. I also have specialist groups for people with cancer, multiple sclerosis and COPD at St Giles Hospice. Each class provides a top to toe workout to strengthen muscles and improve joint mobility using a range of equipment and set to toe-tapping music. They are suitable for people with limited mobility including wheelchair users – everyone is welcome – and it’s a great way to meet other people and have some fun while you get fit.
